MADISON - For Rob Goe and the team at Custom Crafted Counters, Saturday, Sept. 16, will not be a day spent watching college football and relaxing.  Instead, he and his team volunteered to work overtime, fabricating 30 vanity tops for lower-income families during the first DuPont Fab 4000 Event.

The DuPont Fab 4000 Event is a one-day, national event that’s part of A Day of Caring.  Custom Crafted Counters, along with other DuPont certified fabricators, will be volunteering their time to fabricate vanity tops, made from solid surface material donated by DuPont.  They will then be distributed through The Storehouse of World Vision, a nonprofit organization that provides building supplies, school supplies, and household items to improve the lives of low-income families.

“I am proud of my team for enthusiastically participating in this event.  The DuPont Fab 4000 Event gives us a great opportunity to use our skill and talent to give back to the community,” said Goe, president of Custom Crafted Counters.

The company will be joined by about 150 DuPont certified fabricators from across the country, collectively fabricating 4,000 vanity tops.  This is the first year for the DuPont Fab 4000 Event, but because of the enthusiasm shown by the fabricators, DuPont hopes to make it an annual event.

Local resident are welcome to stop by and support Goe and his team at 6131 N. Ridge Road on Saturday, Sept. 16.  Work will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m.  Custom Crafted Counters Inc. was founded in October 2001.
